19th European Symposium
on Suicide and Suicidal Behaviour
24-27 August, 2022 - Copenhagen, Denmark
Now more than ever …
Dear All,
Summer is here in Copenhagen. We had a visit by the French Tour de France and are now ready for the influx of international researchers in suicide prevention.
Come join us in Copenhagen as 25 world-leading Plenary Speakers and more than 350 Scientists share clinical innovations, treatment strategies and novel approaches for prevention of suicide.
More than 525 participants have already registered for the 4-day event, which promises stimulating talks already from Wednesday morning at 8AM with sessions on European Strategies for Suicide Prevention, postvention and exchange on interventions using CAMS and many more. At the later in the day, former Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen will deliver the Opening Speech.
On the subsequent days, there will be two tracks of Plenary Speakers in the morning and 9 congruent parallel sessions in the afternoon.
You will find all the details regarding the program here on the website.
We are excited at the prospect of seeing this many researchers, clinicians and other colleagues from the field of suicide prevention in person.
Regarding COVID-19, there have been no restrictions in place in Denmark since March. For this reason, there will be no requirements regarding masks or other precautions at the ESSSB.
The current situation in Denmark is that there have been plenty of large events taking place over the summer break, which has led to a minimal increase in the number of infections. Still, this was expected and is not viewed as worrisome. The Danish authorities are closely monitoring the situation on an on-going basis. You can find more information on this under ‘General Information’.
Cordially,
Annette Erlangsen and Merete Nordentoft
